Gourmet Invitations did such an awesome job with all of Katie & Dan’s paper products for their August 28th wedding!

The programs - which were inserted into a rustic metal basket.

Bar signs displayed at each of the bars.

The table numbers were inserted into black frames before being placed on the tables.

The seating chart, which is a great way to keep from worrying about wind (no place cards to blow away!)

The shuttle came to good use - guests were taking advantage of the night off from driving!

Valet tags - hung in each car at the end of the night.

Thank you Tifany - beautiful job!
Sam & David were married on September 25th at the Dearborn Inn in Dearborn, MI. Their ceremony was held in the Firestone Room, presided over by Rev. Suzanne Paul. Robert Jones from Guitar Interludes played the music during the ceremony and continued for two hours during dinner and the beginning of the reception. It was beautiful!
Patricia (the mother of the bride) and Sam took it upon themselves to do most of the wedding decor, so I arrived early that day with Kristen and Amber to help her pull it all together! This included the awesome place cards that were tied to the mahogany chivari chairs with raffia and a champagne cork, the grapes at each table to add to the wine theme, table names (wines of course!), the ceremony trellis and rose petals, votives galore, and many other wonderful details.
The photographer for the evening was Paul Stoloff, who is just breaking into the wedding business after years of other photography jobs - I am looking forward to posting some of his photos here as well! Westborn Market provided the centerpieces for the tables and the personal flowers. Their works always looks so interesting and full of texture, and really worked well with everything else in the room.
The Linen Hero truly was a hero for Sam & David! They arrived to set up linens and chairs and drop off napkins (folded by the wonderful Dearborn Inn staff), only to realize that two of the tablecloths were in fact not quite floor length. Note: linens shrink! Especially after many many times through the washing/steaming process - that is HOT water they use! Once noticing the shorter cloths, Linen Hero returned to their warehouse, grabbed several more linens, and got them back to the Dearborn Inn well in time for guest arrival.
The Pastry Palace did a beautiful job with the cake - those grapes looked so real! An Encore DJ provided the later evening entertainment. Everything came together perfectly; it was a very intimate gathering of good friends, with good food and (of course!) wine.
Congratulations Sam & David - we wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Julia & Sam were married on September 4th at Sharon Mills in Manchester. Two days before the wedding, Dustin Francis shot their engagement session! I love these pictures, they really do show off how in love Julia and Sam are!

Errin & David were married a year ago today at Holy Name Parish in Birmingham. Their reception followed at Northville Hills Golf Club. Congratulations on your first year of marriage!

Nicole & Pete were married a year ago today at the Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, MI. Congratulations to you both!

I absolutely LOVE lighting. It can completely transform a space, and makes everything so much more intimate and warm. Here are some of my lighting favorites from Restoration Hardware!

How much fun would it be to gather around this fire pit? For at-home weddings, you have a good reason to invest in items that you can use again when you gather with friends in your back yard!

One great thing about Restoration Hardware - they tell you the stories behind the artisans that create their products. How cool is that?

Do you have a venue that won’t allow real flames? Museums and historic buildings love battery operated lighting!

Enjoy!

Synechdoche Photography recently posted some of their pictures from Shawn & Corey’s wedding at Fort Street Presbyterian and the Ovation Yacht - enjoy!

Dana & Santosh hired TwoFoot Creative in June to help pull together their wedding plans, find the perfect ceremony location (The Masonic!) and develop (with the help of Bill Hamilton at Fabulous Events) a cohesive look for the wedding reception at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The ceremony was beautiful, presided over by a Hindu priest as well as a Judge to perform a more Western ceremony at the end. Rangoli brought in and decorated the mandapam, and did an excellent job in such a short window of time!
At the DIA, cocktail music (and music throughout the reception) was provided by Lee from Mike Staff. He got an encore at the end of the night - guests did not want to stop dancing!
In addition to Swedish (a nod to Dana’s heritage) and Italian stations, Shalimar brought in a delicious array of Indian cuisine. After dinner, Indian desserts were plated per table and a crepe station opened up as well.
I picked up the favors (amazing cake truffles in hazelnut and mint chocolate) from Cake Nouveau earlier in the morning. They are my new favorite wedding favors - reasonable, delicious, and very unique!
A large portion of the guests came in from out of state, so a large shuttle was a must to bring guests from the Book Cadillac Hotel (where the room block was) to the ceremony and reception and then back again at the end of the night. Aristocat took care of that, ending the night with a last trip for the bridal party, bride and groom!
I am very excited to see the pictures that Aruna B. took - I am sure they will be absolutely stunning!
Congratulations Dana and Santosh!

Emily & Eli’s photographer Jonathan Durling recently posted these pictures on his blog, and I wanted to share them! I am so excited to see the rest, they are going to be amazing!

The grounds at Misty Farm in Ann Arbor are so gorgeous!
