As soon as she started planning her own wedding, Ana was hooked. Every detail of the planning process fascinated her; there was always something more to research and perfect. She knew this was something she would want to continue with long after her own wedding came to an end.
Throughout the year of planning a June 30th, 2007 wedding, Ana paid close attention to the concerns she was faced with and the questions that were asked over and over again. She began helping plan events at her workplace to gain additional experience, establishing contacts with vendors other than those booked for her own wedding.
After researching hundreds of vendors and meeting with dozens, Ana has developed an extensive database with information on pricing, references, contacts, and samples for Detroit area couples. She is constantly developing new contacts within the wedding and event industry; meeting with vendors to ensure recommending only the best.
Her most influential resource during this time was the Knot, where she was known as Twofoot – a nickname given by her now husband Gene while running for the University of Michigan. When choosing a name for her new business venture, Ana wanted something that would be memorable as well as something that would be recognizable to the women who were so helpful during her own planning process. Thus TwoFoot Creative was born.
