Katie & Dan were married a year ago today at Misty Farm in Ann Arbor, MI.

Congratulations you two, we wish you a lifetime of anniversaries together!

Tiffany & David were married May 27th at one of my favorite venues, The Goei Center in downtown Grand Rapids, MI. Their ceremony took place in front of the beautiful Koi Pond. Eastern Floral, sister company of the Goei Center, surrounded the pond with 100 white votives and floating candles.

Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful and Forever Fossilized videography was there to capture it all.

Their program & frame was custom made from Events by I.Candy.

They also did an amazing job on their custom invitations.

Guests were escorted to cocktail hour in the lounge area where they could enjoy drinks, appetizers, and view the photo table with pictures of the couple’s family & friends.

During the cocktail hour, Tiffany & David escaped so Steven, from Steven F. Fox photography, could get a few photos of them together off-site.

Meanwhile, Carissa & I put the finishing touches in the reception room. Events by I.Candy and Eastern Floral provided the decor. I loved the damask runners from Events by I.Candy against the Apple Green table linens. Chair Cover Collection did a wonderful job on the linens and provided silver plate chargers that added a little flair to the tables.

After cocktail hour, guests were invited to find their escort cards and be seated in the reception area. Meanwhile, Tiffany changed into a 2nd dress for the evening.

Branns Catering provided their signature steak dinner - so delicious! The couple opted for a dessert table with an array of cakes from various bakeries. Mary Briggs Cakes baked a delicious red velvet buttercream cake; their favorite!

Tiffany really had a good time smashing cake in David’s face.

The dance floor stayed full as DJ Adam knew just the right songs to play. Tiffany & David love to dance and remained the center of attention.

Guest favors were these adorable damask print candles with a photo of the bride and groom.

At the end of the night, we packed up their cards & gifts and made sure everything was ready to go.

A few months ago, Ana and I had the pleasure of touring venues in the Lansing area. We were absolutely in love with the charming The English Inn, and its elegant banquet space at Medovue Hall.

The English Inn is a bed & breakfast that offers overnight accommodations, an award winning restaurant, a world class wine list, and professional service staff.

There are four locations to hold your event. Any of these rooms would be perfect for intimate celebrations:

• The Devonshire room has a beautiful black marble fireplace, a digital baby grand piano, antique furniture, and a sophisticated ambiance. This room seats 50 guests.

• The Thames room has a beautiful view of the formal gardens and the Grand River. This room would be ideal for a rehearsal dinner as it seats 24 guests.

• The Oxford room also has gorgeous views of the river, terrace, and gardens. An intimate bridal shower or a Sunday brunch after a Saturday wedding would be perfect for this room as it seats 16 guests.
• The Milford room is an elegant dining room overlooking the formal gardens. This room seats 32 guests.

Medovue Hall is such a unique and charming place full of distinct regal character. From the marble foyer to the huge arched windows that display the 15 acre estate, guests would be “wowed” by the beauty of the hall. This room can accommodate up to 200 guest.

An ceremony would be breath-taking in the English Gardens with its arched rose trellis or the Pegola on the Grand where the river banks create a peaceful ambiance.

Whitney & Bill were married at Ingalls Mall on the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor. The rain forecast was at 40-50% for the day, so the tent was set up with sides just in case. It was looking ominous right before the ceremony, but actually held off until later!

TwoFoot Creative worked with Whitney and her mom, Lisa throughout the past year to plan a beautiful wedding. Guests were so thrilled with the amazing food and beautiful decor, and the party lasted all night - even after the bar closed!

Whitney & Bill’s wedding professionals included Top That Event (flowers, lighting, ceremony chairs), Nicole Ladonne (photography), Platinum Mix Productions (DJ), Colonial Events (ceremony tent and mic), Schakolad (favors), Cake Nouveau (cupcakes and cake to cut), Paisley Quill (invitations and all other paper products) and Golden Limousine International (end of night shuttle and getaway car). TwoFoot Creative supplied the linens from Linen Hero.

We did a showing with Top That Event about 6 months before the wedding to make sure everything was just how Whitney wanted it - and it made everyone so much more confident going into the wedding day! The lighting created a perfect romantic ambiance, and the linens and flowers complimented each other wonderfully.

Our major “fix” of the day was after pictures were done - Nicole Ladonne called me to let me know that Whitney had blisters on her feet and couldn’t walk back! I ran to my car, drove to the other side of campus, and picked her, Bill and one of the bridesmaids up right as the rain was about to pour down. We made it in perfect time for the grand entrance!

Items used from our emergency kit included ibuprofen, band-aids, scissors, hug remover (an awesome sponge that gets makeup off tuxes), mints and umbrellas. Overall it was a beautiful wedding, everything went so well and at the end of the night Whitney & Bill were happy - which is of course the reason why we do what we do!
