Amy and Ryan were just married on the 19th at the Rattlesnake Club in Detroit. Their photographer, Blaine Siesser, caught some amazing shots that I wanted to share!

Jessica and Nick were married on Sunday at Lovett Hall in Dearborn. The staff there was amazing to work with - I want to especially thank Sarah for making everything from setup to take-down at the end of the night go as quickly as it could!
Jessica and Nick and their families did most of the work leading up to the wedding, which resulted in my husband and I driving over their rental trailer with all their stuff to unload! A third assistant, Lia met us there to facilitate the process. We got as much of the ceremony setup done as we could (chairs were not yet in place for final touches) before heading upstairs to tackle the reception area!
One highlight of the day was working with Amanda Williams Photography - she is fantastic! We started out the day in Jessica’s room, where she got into the most gorgeous dress I think I have ever seen by Maggie Sottero. When they got to Lovett Hall, they were met by the videographers from Fairytale Productions.
The cake was created by Patisserie Parmentier, which was cut immediately after the grand entrance and served as dessert once dinner was cleared. Once the G-Daddy’s took over entertainment for the evening, the dance floor stayed packed until the end!
Congratulations Nick and Jess - I hope you have an amazing honeymoon zip-lining through the jungle!
I have been so excited for Amy & Ryan’s wedding over the past 9 months - it has been a wonderful planning process! They were married this past Saturday at the Rattlesnake Club in Detroit, with a beautiful ceremony overlooking the water.
As guests were seated, they each had a gerbera daisy on their chair in memory of Amy’s mother. The note also indicated that a donation had been made to the New York City Ballet Company on her behalf.
Following the ceremony, guests walked into the Rattlesnake Club to place each daisy in a large trumpet vase on the place card table. Eventually, 175 flowers overflowed the vase, and it was a beautiful remembrance all evening long.
All of the decor for the event, including linens, flowers, lighting, and chairs came from MPE Events. They started setup the day before, bringing in the lighting and banquet chairs which were covered with black spandex covers. All paper products were created by Gourmet Invitations.
Blaine Siesser photographed the event, which I am very excited to see the professional shots of! Dinner was a trio of stations, from stir fry to mashed potatoes to chicken and salad. It was delicious! Shortly following dinner, cupcakes from The Cupcake Station came out on display along with some gourmet coffee for dessert. The Shutterbooth opened around that time as well, and was a huge hit as always!
Everything went very smoothly (we were actually ahead of schedule at one point!) and guests had a wonderful time. Amy’s bouquet is now in the hands of CurlyArt, who will be creating a painting for Amy & Ryan’s nursery!
Congratulations on a beautiful wedding day, it was wonderful working with you both!

I am very excited to say that I will be attending the Michigan Meeting & Events Conference on the 29th of this month. I love going to these types of meetings because I always walk away so motivated and full of new ideas - it breathes life back into my business! I will be sure to return with photos and recaps, it is a day-long event so I might also return quite exhausted!
Barbara and Jason planned their entire wedding in about two months! Both the ceremony and reception took place at Cobblestone Farm in Ann Arbor, which is a wonderful place for couples looking to bring in everything themselves for their wedding.
Linens and rentals were provided by A1 Rentals, a local Ann Arbor company. Flowers came from Pinter’s Flowerland, and all other decor was brought in by Barbara and her family. We set everything up, moved around some things to make sure guests had adequate room, and pinned on everyone’s flowers prior to the start of the ceremony. It was a busy day!
The cake (which tasted wonderful, and ended up in a cake fight at the end of the night) was brought in by Peaches Creative Cakes.
Congratulations Barbara and Jason - we wish you the best in your new life together!

Amy and Ryan were married this past weekend (that post will be coming soon!) at the Rattlesnake Club in Detroit. Before sharing all the wonderful details of the day, I wanted to start with all the wonderful paper extras created by Tifany at Gourmet Invitations!

The programs had all the VIP information in a circular pattern on the front, and the back side listed the order of events for the ceremony.

During the ceremony, the above tags were tied to a hot pink spider gerbera daisy and placed for each guest in honor of Amy’s mother. After the ceremony, they brought the flowers inside to the place card table, where a large vase was waiting for them. It was such a wonderful touch.

Their signature drink signs were made to match everything else, featuring one alcoholic and one non-alcoholic variety. Small plastic monkeys in pink and green were placed on the rim of each glass!

The rest of the details were just as amazing, check back for that in a few days!

I just noticed that Jennifer Mott posted some of the photos she took at Jessica & Chris’ wedding, and they are beautiful!

I just love this color combination, it is so fresh and vibrant!

The guests were not allowed to throw petals outside St. Mary’s, so the bridal party used some petals for pictures afterwords instead.

Congratulations Chris and Jess - I can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures!

Back on August 8th, I had the privilege of working with Southern California-based photographer Sarah Chen for Phyllis and Daniel’s wedding. She posted these amazing shots on her blog - enjoy!

Because of rain, the reveal had to take place inside Cranbrook… it was still beautiful!

One awesome thing Sarah did for the bride and groom was a session the following day, back at Cranbrook, for some outside shots!

Of course, they have been for a while now… However, their engagement shots were just posted on Dustin Francis‘ blog yesterday, so of course I had to share!

Dustin has a lot more of the photos on his blog, and he will also be photographing their wedding on Halloween this year!

Congratulations on some great shots you two - I am excited for October!
