Just added - Bouquet Preservation!

Filed under: My Favorite Vendors — twofoot @ 7:37 pm

I have recently added a new service for my clients who are looking for a unique way to preserve their wedding bouquets - turn your petals into a painting! In addition to receiving a $50 discount off the price, I will also ship your bouquet out for you the Monday after your wedding to ensure that it is packaged properly and gets to the artist in time for the petals to be preserved as nicely as possible!

Once your bouquet is received, the artist will press the petals from the bouquet and in some cases the entire flower (depending on your flowers) over a 6-8 week period. Once the petals are pressed, she will use them to create a unique painting with colors of your choice! You can choose as many or as few of the details that you might want to be included in the painting, and the final product is then shipped back to you!

This is a 15×30 painting that was recently completed - using petals from my own wedding bouquet! Something this size or 20×20 would normally cost $350 before shipping of the bouquet, so my clients would get it for $300. Shipping the bouquet so that it arrives in good condition usually runs between $50-$60.

I am so excited to add this service, I just love the paintings and it is something you can actually hang in your home and enjoy for many many years to come!

NACE Tabletop Event

Filed under: General — twofoot @ 6:55 pm

I attended the NACE Tabletop WOW event on April 16th at the Roostertail in Detroit, to meet some local area vendors and help out with the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) table. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone work, meeting some people I have not yet worked with but would LOVE to, and saying hello to those I have worked with in the past.

Here are some pictures of the ABC table headed by Dottie Ottman, which was a teddy bear picnic for a baby shower:

My favorite table of the night for a wedding was done by Bill at Fabulous Events. Bill was wonderful to talk to, he described everything he did with this table as well as ideas on how to make it more budget-friendly. I am very much looking forward to working with him in the future! Here is his table:

There were a lot more great tables there, those were just my favorites. It was a very inspiring evening! I absolutely believe in colored table linens, they add so incredibly much to a room to make it pop!
