Rachel & Geoff were married on October 23rd at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. Their reception followed the ceremony in the Alger House, which is a gorgeous venue for a small wedding!
The ceremony was officiated by Stephen Stawicki of The Wedding Connection. TwoFoot Creative provided the candles and ribbons along the aisle, which looked beautiful as the sun was setting toward the end of the ceremony!
The cocktail hour was shorter than usual - with a 6pm ceremony it was important to keep everything moving so there would be plenty of time for dancing at the end of the night!
Rachel had her guest book made from Shutterfly, using engagement pictures of her and Geoff! It was a huge hit with the guests, and so much nicer than the traditional guest book!
The vibe Rachel wanted for the reception was described as Great Gatsby/Meet Joe Black. I think we accomplished just that! Wedding Flowers by Heidi did an amazing job with the centerpieces and bouquets, featuring orchids, hydrangea, roses, dahlias and of course white feathers to tie the look together!
The professional pictures were taken by Orris Photography - I am looking forward to seeing them! Duane and his wife were great to work with. The entertainment was provided by The Panache Group for the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, and the Swing Shift Orchestra for the remainder of the evening.
Cake Nouveau brought the wedding cake and also made the amazing cake truffle favors. Each layer of cake was different, from chocolate lavender to caramel apple to chocolate ganache and Vietnamese spice. Delicious!
Congratulations Rachel and Geoff - it was a beautiful wedding and so much fun to help you bought with all the planning!

Blaine Siesser shot Julie and Eric’s wedding back in September, and just sent these amazing pictures from their wedding day! The couple was married in Lexington, MI at a private residence.

Christine & Steve were married back in June, and I shipped Christine’s bouquet to CurlyArt to be transformed into a painting for the two of them, as well as two smaller paintings to give their parents as gifts!
The actual flowers are pressed, petal by petal, and when they dry (about 8-10 weeks later) they are used in these beautiful paintings!
Congratulations Christine & Steve!

JLB Wedding Photography just sent me these gorgeous pictures from Jen & Kevin’s engagement session!

Jen & Kevin will be married in Ann Arbor in May of 2011. TwoFoot Creative has been helping them plan their wedding since the beginning of this year - it is going to be beautiful!

Their ceremony will take place at Ingalls Mall, which I have done one wedding at previously and am so excited for another!

Doesn’t Jen have the most beautiful smile?!

Congratulations you two, I’m so excited for the wedding!

Kara Purtell just posted pictures of the gorgeous wedding of Katie & Dan, so I wanted to share! They are STUNNING!

So many details! Katie had a lot of fun working with Tifany from Gourmet Invitations on all the paper products that were brought into the wedding day.

Bagpipers have been a theme this year… but they are still awesome!

Who doesn’t want to dance in a barn all night?

Instead of a sparkler exit, Katie and Dan did a sparkler entrance into their first dance.

Katie’s bouquet, created by Bill Hamilton, will be turned into a piece of art by CurlyArt.

Congratulations again you two!!!

Liz & Mike were married two years ago at Wellers in Saline, MI. Congratulations you two!

Lana & Keith were married two years ago today at Laurel Manor in Livonia, MI. Congratulations to you both!
October 2nd, I was actually able to attend a wedding as a guest, for my cousin (in law) Carly and her now husband Brian!
I had never been to the Belle Isle Conservatory before, so it was exciting to be there for fun and to see the venue! It was beautiful, both inside the conservatory as well as in the nearby gardens.
Daddy (Gene) and baby (Emma) were there as well as a lot of the Skidmore family. I forget how weddings are from “the other side”, so it was a good way to refresh!
