Sam & David are Married! 09.25.2010
Sam & David were married on September 25th at the Dearborn Inn in Dearborn, MI. Their ceremony was held in the Firestone Room, presided over by Rev. Suzanne Paul. Robert Jones from Guitar Interludes played the music during the ceremony and continued for two hours during dinner and the beginning of the reception. It was beautiful!
Patricia (the mother of the bride) and Sam took it upon themselves to do most of the wedding decor, so I arrived early that day with Kristen and Amber to help her pull it all together! This included the awesome place cards that were tied to the mahogany chivari chairs with raffia and a champagne cork, the grapes at each table to add to the wine theme, table names (wines of course!), the ceremony trellis and rose petals, votives galore, and many other wonderful details.
The photographer for the evening was Paul Stoloff, who is just breaking into the wedding business after years of other photography jobs - I am looking forward to posting some of his photos here as well! Westborn Market provided the centerpieces for the tables and the personal flowers. Their works always looks so interesting and full of texture, and really worked well with everything else in the room.
The Linen Hero truly was a hero for Sam & David! They arrived to set up linens and chairs and drop off napkins (folded by the wonderful Dearborn Inn staff), only to realize that two of the tablecloths were in fact not quite floor length. Note: linens shrink! Especially after many many times through the washing/steaming process - that is HOT water they use! Once noticing the shorter cloths, Linen Hero returned to their warehouse, grabbed several more linens, and got them back to the Dearborn Inn well in time for guest arrival.
The Pastry Palace did a beautiful job with the cake - those grapes looked so real! An Encore DJ provided the later evening entertainment. Everything came together perfectly; it was a very intimate gathering of good friends, with good food and (of course!) wine.
