Holly & Peter were married on May 6th at the Royal Park Hotel Conservatory in Rochester, MI. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Brian Tuttle, whom I have worked with a few times before and always does an amazing job! Because of space and time constraints, the reception tables were set up and ready to go before the ceremony.
The gold charger plates added so much to the room, and those were one of Holly’s many purchases for the wedding! She also provided all of the candles, table numbers and gold votives. The flowers were gorgeous, which doesn’t surprise me at all coming from The Parsonage!
When we arrived, Brenda and I checked in on the ladies to make sure they were doing ok. I left my emergency kit in their room, and headed up to the guys to pin on bouts and check in with them as well. In the Conservatory, we were in charge of setting out the chargers, polaroid guest book, chalk board with instructions for guests, programs, card basket etc.
We also made sure to go over all of the ceremony logistics again with Holly & Peter’s wedding professionals – from cuing songs, to where the red wagon with the ring bearer and flower girl would come by, to coordinating the flip after the ceremony! Their DJ, Mary Ann Ross, did an amazing job making the processional happen as Holly had dreamed!
The photos in this post I took myself – so I can’t wait to see how amazing those taken by Aruna B. Photography turn out! I will also be sure to post the trailer for their wedding film – Epic Motion was so excited about the footage they were getting so I am sure it will turn out beautifully.
The above programs were hand-made by Peter. Aren’t they beautiful!? Traffic was a bit on the congested side, so the ceremony got off to a later start than expected (we had to wait for several guests coming in from Ann Arbor). I communicated with Jeannie from the Royal Park (she is amazing) and made sure the food was adjusted accordingly!
After the ceremony, we had about 10 minutes to flip the room. Chairs were moved into place along the tables, a high chair was added where needed, place cards were put out as was the seating chart, and the sweetheart table was brought out and assembled. Magic! The cakes were beautiful, from Sweet and Savory Bake Shop.
During the evening, Holly & Peter went upstairs to change and came down to a surprise dance with “Jai Ho” leading the way – it was so much fun! Their friends and family danced all the way until the end.
Congratulations to you both on a beautiful wedding day, it was such a pleasure being a part of everything!
