Barton Hills Wedding: Paul & Justin are Married!

Paul & Justin had the most fun Barton Hills wedding in Ann Arbor, MI. It was one of those fall days with just a bit of rain in the forecast, but not enough to call plan B… However, just after everyone got down the aisle, the rain came down and we had to rush inside. You would never know it – they were so graceful and composed despite the crazy change of plans. The ceremony was beautiful and following that was one of the MOST fun receptions I have ever witnessed.

Mitten Films created this wedding video and it is perfection! The staff at Barton Hills was amazingly helpful throughout the day (fixing some drapery issues, flipping the ceremony inside with me, adjusting the timeline) and every single wedding professional helped to create a magical day. Shout out to A Girl In Love Photography, Mary Ann Productions, Jen House Designs, Plume & Proper, Rock Paper Scissors, and Chair Covers & Linens for bringing in all the magic!

The Design Process

I had so much fun designing their day with Paul & Justin. We had meetings to determine the menu, the linens and other rentals, and the flowers. I like to make sure it all works together and also works with the overall feel couples are going for. They had found some geometric cages to use with the centerpieces, and Jen House Designs did a fabulous job incorporating them. Plume & Proper sourced and created the most beautiful geode escort “cards” and table numbers. The duet plate menu was absolutely amazing – kudos to the chef at Barton Hills!
