Nevra was a client of mine a few years ago when she got married – and I was so excited to hear from her about her new adventures in scarves! She sent me some to try out (above) and they are the softest, thickest scarves I have ever worn!
Ana – How did Canim Scarves get started?
Nevra – This idea was hatched during a recent trip to Turkey. I always wear my pashmina scarves from Turkey and my friends all love them. Prior to my trip, my friends requested that I bring back a few for them; I ended up bringing back an entire suitcase full! This demand got me thinking that there could be a market in the US for this product. So we found a distributor that we trusted and ordered a 100 scarves to start out with. Since then we have placed more orders.

Ana – What made you decide to travel to Turkey?
Nevra – I am actually originally from Turkey! I am 100% Turkish & lived in Istanbul until I was about 4. So our trip was a return to the “motherland”. One of the big things to do in Istanbul is going to the Grand Bazaar where we spent plenty of time wondering the endless halls of shops and stores. Lucky for us we found the perfect distribution partner in one of those stores.

Ana – What does “Canim” mean and how did you come up with the name?
Nevra – Canim is actually a Turkish word – like me! Pronounced Jahnum – it is one of the most endearing words in the Turkish language and full of love – just like my scarves.

Ana – What makes a Canim Scarves the perfect accessory?
Nevra – It can transform an outfit! These scarves compliment a cocktail or bridesmaid dress, keep you warm on cool nights and go perfectly with jeans and a t-shirt. I have such a wide variety of colors that by simply changing the color of the scarf it changes your look. It also makes a perfect gift for bridesmaids – you can either pick a color that compliments the bridesmaid dresses or just pick a color for each girl that you know she would love.

Ana – What makes Canim Scarves better than other scarves?
Nevra – Fantastic quality and wide variety at a great price. These scarves are so soft and thick. I have 79 different solid colors & 40 different designed scarves. Pricing starts at $20 for solid colors and up to $30 for some of the designs. The quality, variety & price really set my scarves apart.

Ana – Do you have samples I can see?
Nevra – Yes, I have about 100 samples – all in different colors and designs. I also have a sample book so you can coordinate the perfect color. Whatever color you can dream of – I can match it!

Ana – How do I order scarves?
Nevra – Check out my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Canim-Scarves/204744089563336?sk=wall) to see the various colors and designs I have. They are all numbered for easy ordering! You can place orders either directly on my Facebook website or by emailing me at Nevra.Kreger@gmail.com. Another great idea is to host a scarf party – this is an excuse to get all your closest family and friends together for a fun night. Please email me if you are interested in hosting a party.
Ana – What is your favorite thing about owning your own business?
Nevra – I love seeing people’s reaction when they see my products. They realize how great the quality is and the range of colors surprises them in a good way. Most of the time they have trouble deciding which ones they want! I love helping them select the ones that look best on them!

I am interested in the pasley scarfs you have on display and would like to know their measurement, composition and price please. I bought one from Istanbul recently and lost it and am feeling lost also now. Thanks Cheryl
