Natalie & Hudson were married on October 25th last year at the First Baptist Church in Ann Arbor, MI. At 5’8″ I spent the day feeling short – the entire bridal party and both families were definitely given the gift of height!
It was a beautiful ceremony, and from there guests made their way to the University of Michigan Museum of Art. It is a beautiful but tricky venue – my team as well as Katherine’s Catering had 1.5 hours to get everything set up and ready to go!
Cocktail hour started in the Forum, so when Natalie & Hudson arrived we were able to show them the reception space in the Apse before guests came in – and they were so happy! I love it when couples have time for this special moment.
Most of the details were DIY projects that Natalie and her mom worked on together, and they came together beautifully! The florist (Maureen’s Designs) did the rest, as well as the beautiful decor from Chair Covers & Linens.
The lighting added the final touch to the ambiance of the evening, from Quest Productions in Dexter, MI.
Mike Staff Productions handled most of the entertainment for the evening, with the exception of a surprise performance that only a few ears knew about…
Michigan’s Friars came to UMMA during dinner for a surprise performance – it was spectacular!
Congratulations to you both Natalie & Hudson – it was a pleasure working with you and your families!

Guests got to the second floor by the lift that was used to get the cars off the assembly line. Chairs were lined up to create an aisle surrounded by the model T that was produced here. Sweet Beats performed music as guests came in and for the ceremony, and then at the cocktail hour.

I just loved all the little details that went into this wedding to make it an experience for their guests.
