Steampunk means a genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology (according to Wikipedia), and you will also see Victorian age décor (19th century) mixed in with this. I would love to plan a wedding with this theme!

I collected some pictures to show you more of how to put this idea together. This look is all about the details and you just have to have fun with it. I always tell my couples if you are going to have a theme such as this one you just have to go for it and get your guests involved too. Ask your guests to dress up if they want, and see how many people show up ready to party and enjoy the day with you.

The pictures I have found have been full of: top hats, pocket watches, corsets, and bright bold colors! And as usual if you want help with creating this look we would love to help!

Leanne and Sebastian were married at the Local Bar and Kitchen in Ferndale, they have an amazing industrial space upstairs that really needs to be used more for weddings! Stela Zaharieva Photography was there to capture the moments and we just had to share them with you!

We did a wedding two years ago at a farm that was a carnival themed wedding. It was really cool, and for us in the industry that do see weddings every week it was a fresh break from the normal traditional wedding. It stuck in my head and I am sure that every guest that attended will never forget that day either.

We had so many guests that went with the theme and came dressed up.  We had a bearded lady, adorable little boys that came dressed in derby hats, and suspenders. A lot of the guests came in bright colors and fun hats!

For cocktail hour we had fun stations set up with a petting zoo, the strong man competition, and a popcorn station. Take a look at these images I found to help you put a carnival theme wedding together of your own!
