Kim and Steve were married on October 4th at White Oaks Farm in Dexter, Michigan. It was a very cold day, and we did have to go to Plan B for the ceremony since it was going to be outside, but luckily with the barn we had a second option.
We started the day with setting up the chairs in the barn and also setting up the tables with linens and flatware so they would be ready to set in place as soon as the ceremony was over.
Luckily we had the option of setting up the barn for a ceremony and then getting the guests out of the barn for about 15 minutes so we could do a flip. This all couldn’t have happened without the amazing team from Katherine’s Catering, who handled all the food for the event!
This is the nice thing about having a planner, we were able to come up with a back up plan and have it ready to go by the time guests arrived.
The ceremony was beautiful and Steve’s mom sang Amazing Grace, and as soon as it was over guests went outside the barn to get their escort cards and allow us time to quickly flip the room.
Once that was done in record time guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the barn. All the floral for the evening was by Ruth from Wedding Ferries and they were all gorgeous!
This was my first time working with First Comes Love Photography; Alison is a doll and I hope to work with her again soon! We will be sharing her professional pictures soon!
The best part of this wedding was the entertainment, Killer Flamingos!
I love working with them, and as soon as they were playing and guests were dancing away and no one cared that it was super cold!
Their gorgeous cake table was by our good friends at Sweet Heather Anne.
This was our last wedding of the season at White Oaks Farm and it was nice to end the season with such a beautiful wedding!
