Maureen and Brandon were married on August 16th at the League in Ann Arbor. For this wedding their ceremony took place in the main ballroom and after the ceremony guests went in to the hallway for cocktail hour while we did a room flip and changed it into a beautiful reception.
For the ceremony, the League piped and draped the walkway and created a pretty entry into the ballroom that led into the aisle. Chivari chairs were set and lined with a rose petal aisle. Rondo String Quartet played beautiful music as guests were escorted to their seats.
I loved working with George Street Films’ Aaron Reed who was the photographer. It was my first time working with him and I hope to work with him again soon.
We had a big bridal party, there were several sets of grandparents, and family that were a part of the processional. Maureen and Brandon wanted family to be a very important part of the ceremony. Judge Burke was the officiant, and did a wonderful job on the ceremony.
For the cocktail hour we set out their stunning wedding cake by Sweet Heather Anne so guests could see it since we were cutting it right after the grand entrance. During cocktail hour the photobooth provided by InaBooth started, it was really fun and hey had lot of props provided by them and the couple to have fun with.
It only took about 45 minutes for the room flip, which was thanks to the wonderful staff at the League, we put on centerpieces, table numbers, and extra décor and the room was ready. Maureen and Brandon did a first look in the room and couldn’t even speak for a couple of seconds as they took it all in!
DJ Matt Grossmen was there ready to get the party started and we lined everyone up for their fun dance into the room. After dinner and very beautiful toasts, Maureen ( who is a professional dancer) and Brandon did an amazing choreographed dance for the first dance.
After the formal dance the dance floor opened up and the
dance floored stayed packed until the end of the night.
The end of the night was completed by a sparkler send off for our happy couple
Even though I only helped Maureen for a few months prior to her wedding day, I will miss her! Congrats to Maureen and Brandon!
