A few months ago word was getting around that a new barn was coming to Webster Township. We couldn’t wait to check it out. Laura and her husband Dan purchased the Cottonwood Barn in 2012 and started renovations on it right away.
This isn’t the first barn that they have renovated. The actually own another barn that they use for storage but every year they throw a fabulous and spooky Halloween party there. So many people stopped by and asking them to rent it that they decided to buy another barn.
Ana and I got a chance to tour the barn they have already renovated and it’s amazing. My favorite thing is that it still looks like a barn. They have been able to take the barn, fix what needed to be fixed, but yet still keep true to it’s rustic heritage.
Laura is a interior designer and you can tell that she has a great eye for finding key pieces to add to the decor of the barns. She truly has a passion and a great desire to not only make the Cottonwood barn into a venue that can be used for a great event, but making it into a spectacular space that can be used in several different ways and is nothing like any barn in this area.
Cottonwood can hold up to 400 guests, and rents for the weekend at $5000.00. This barn actually has two barns one is adjacent to the main one and could be used for a ceremony or cocktail hour.
This is how Laura described the beautiful barn.” Cottonwood Barn boasts 3600 square feet, in which a customized event can be planned. The original rustic beauty of the Barn will be preserved and decorated with a modern sense of style. Sophisticated chandeliers that hang from soaring wood beamed ceilings will illuminate the dining area, bar location, and dance floor. Private room is available for the bridal party to prepare. External open-air patio/dance floor and adjacent covered areas are available for larger parties – no tents needed. ” As you can see they are busy getting this ready for their goal of Spring 2013. We promise to show you more pictures as soon as they are done so you can see how amazing the Cottonwood Barn is going to be.
