A few weeks ago Laura from Glee Cake and Pastry stopped by to let us taste some of the delicious treats they make at the bakery.
They brought us such a great selection, but my favorite was the carrot cake cupcake! The bakery is located in downtown Chelsea, MI.
Glee Havens is the master mind behind all the delectable goodies they have. Glee went to a top culinary school and studied under the best pastry chefs. After she married she came to Michigan and started the bakery.
We wanted to do a little Q & A with them to share a little more about them with you:
What is your average price per slice for a wedding cake? Average price is $4.25 per slice for wedding cake but offer other
options to help offset this, dessert bar options ($2-3 a slice), kitchen cakes($2-3 a slice), and of course our mini-mousse cakes (cup cakes @$2.50 a piece).
How many flavors of cake do you have? The menu has 14 printed specialty cakes and we can incorporate different mousses with different flavored cakes. We do a Chiffon, Vanilla Sponge, French Cream, Chocolate, Chocolate Gnache, Carrot, Walnut, Ginger, Pumpkin Chiffon, Marzipan, and 3 Gluten Free options. We have 5 different types of cheesecakes as well endless possibilities.
Can you create custom flavors? We are more than willing to try!
