Erin & Greg were married at Island Park in Ann Arbor, MI on September 14th. There was a home game that day, so they planned on food and champagne/beer/soft drinks at the park for guests to enjoy after the ceremony – but because of traffic it ended up being a cocktail hour before the ceremony began!
The ceremony was held at the Greek revival shelter at Island Park, and it was just a beautiful day. Guests were shuttled in from hotels and on to the Gandy Dancer restaurant in Ann Arbor as soon as the ceremony ended. Fortunately that was right around the corner – so no traffic to worry about!
Flowers by Heidi did a beautiful job with all of the flowers. Erin & Greg bought the hanging candles that my team strung from the ceiling in the center of each table throughout the room. It looked fabulous! The tivoli lights are in place, but they added an extra section in one area that was previously unlit.
We brought in the linens and chairs from Chair Covers & Linens, and folded the napkins for them at our team meeting the Monday before the wedding. Menu cards printed by Gandy Dancer were inserted into each. As guests sat down to dinner, they were given the choice of several entrees to order – something I just LOVE about wedding receptions at Gandy Dancer!
Phil from Mike Staff was our DJ for the evening, we are always happy with their team! The entire evening went incredibly well; it is just such a fun atmosphere with the train going by and a courtyard feel. Congratulations to you both Erin & Greg – it was a pleasure being part of your day!
