Meghan & Mike were married on September 28th at the Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, MI. I spent the past year working with them on their beautiful wedding! My team helped set up the rehearsal dinner at Dominick’s in Ann Arbor, a favorite for UM students! The next day, we were at St. John’s by noon to get it all set up…
The bridal party was quite large, and I just LOVED how all the girls wore different dresses in different shades of purple! They looked fantastic together, and I am sure the pictures that Abby Rose took will be many times more spectacular than mine you see here!
Bill Hamilton Designs was in charge of all the decor, including securing linens and chairs from Affordable Elegance, and lighting from Colonial Events. He did all the centerpieces and the ribbon tree you see pictured here, and it looked just beautiful in the room – and exactly how Meghan wanted it!
In addition to the lighting above, there was candlelight everywhere in the room. It reflected off the glass ceiling at night as well, creating an even ore dramatic effect. Simone Vitale did a fabulous job keeping the dance floor packed until the end, when the party continued upstairs at 5ive!
The head table was an idea I had during an initial meeting – to maximize space and create something unique (never done before in the Atrium!) we had Meghan & Mike on the right end above, and their bridal party with dates in a t-shape underneath the gazebo.
The cake came from Gwen’s Cakes in Saline, MI and was served with ice cream after dinner. Other wedding professionals include Posh Hair & Makeup Studio, Lavda’s Limousine and the video team from Bradley Productions.
After the ceremony, the party bus took the bridal party to Ann Arbor for pictures (Meghan & Mike both went to UM), so guests had a chance to relax and freshen up before the reception. Cocktail hour took place in the Nazareth room, which overlooks the Atrium so guests got a sneak peak of the reception!
Meghan had ordered vellum table number/menu cards that were folded and placed around a votive candle. She also created “place cards” out of votive candles wrapped in vellum with guests’ names on them.
Congratulations Meghan & Mike – it was absolutely a pleasure being a part of your wedding, we wish you all the happiness in the world!
