One of the many things I love about our job is meeting new people, especially new companies that we meet that we know our couples will love too. We recently held an ABC meeting, where we met Bontisha Rose and Chris Milek, from Bontisha Rose Photography. Their work is beautiful and they are so much fun to be around! How long have you been in business? Chris and I have been in business for 3 years now
What is an interesting fact about you two? We both went to film school and starting learning to tell a story through shooting short films. I think that’s the main thing we love about weddings and working with couples. We are telling a love story that is non fiction. Much of the energy is the same and the love is real.
What is your style of photography? It is a fusion of Fine Art and photo journalistic style. I don’t feel a couple should ever have to compromise between the two. For us telling the story using a photo-journalistic approach is a given for every wedding day.
What makes you different from the rest? We also use our engagement session as a training session for our couples. If you think about it, most people haven’t been trained to take a photograph. With our engagement sessions we go the extra mile to teach our clients confidence in front of the camera. These lessons are timeless and add to the connection between client and photographer. I feel a true connection serves to be priceless especially on the day of the wedding.
