Kristen & Deke are Married! 07.14.2012

Kristen & Deke were married at Waldenwoods in Hartland, MI on July 14th this year. Their ceremony was one of the most beautiful I have ever heard, so heartfelt and genuine.

The Parsonage from Clarkston, MI did all the floral and the ceremony decor – just beautiful! The pergola was dressed in fabric and mason jars of baby’s breath at different heights, just glistening in the sun. As guests arrived we directed them outside where water was available (it was a HOT one!) and some shade under the front porch.

Kristen and her mom spent so much time on all the details involved in the wedding, and it all came together beautifully. The program table was placed right where guests would walk by to get seated, and as they walked through the building they could leave a fingerprint on the guest tree and circle their favorite passage in the couple’s new bible.

After the ceremony, a group picture was taken on the front porch before the bar opened outside for cocktail hour. We went inside to light the candles and make sure everything was ready to go for Kristen & Deke to see the room and the wonderful Amy Carroll Photography and Shutterspeed Productions could get photos and video before guests walked in.

Their favorite songs were compiled onto CD’s for guests to take home as favors. They also created the adorable burlap hearts below for the place cards to be attached to, and we tucked the menus into each napkin during setup.

The room was stunning! As guests walked in they found their escort cards hanging from a panel in the lobby, and walked in to find their table numbers incorporated into canvas pictures of Kristen & Deke from their gorgeous engagement session.

Linens were provided by Special Occasions, chairs from Chivari Chair Rental, and a lot of the paper products from Table of Contents Events. The DJ for the evening was Wayne Kinney from Rock Out Entertainment, and he kept the dance floor completely packed all night long. It was a great party!

I just love these heart maps in frames that Kristen did – they show the locations where her and Deke met, where they married, and where they now live. Such a cute idea!

Jefferson Market provided the cake, adorned with an adorable set of love birds and a fabric flower from Etsy.

Congratulations you two – it was an honor being part of your wedding!
