Ellen & Will are Married! 08.25.2012

Ellen and Will have been on many adventures together and this day was a beautiful adventure that they shared with all their family and close friends. Their wedding day began at the Power Center in downtown Ann Arbor. The lobby is amazing with huge windows that line the wall.

Their wedding ceremony was beautiful and Ellen took everyone’s breath away as she walked down the aisle. Chelsea Flower shop who are good friends with Ellen and Will made these gorgeous flower arrangements for the ceremony that we later moved to the reception. Panache serenaded guests during the ceremony, and Ellen walked down to one of my favorite songs ever, “Moon River.”

We were so excited to be working again with the Ms. Amanda Williams for photography that day. She is so full of life and her work is amazing.

While the ceremony was going on part of our team was at the Gandy Dancer getting everything ready for this cute reception to begin. Ana actually did the centerpieces for the tables that day and the calla lilies were what the venue needed for the simple but elegent looking decor we had going on in the room. Chair Covers and Linens were there to deliver chivari chairs at the Power Center for the ceremony and then they came over to the Gandy Dancer to put on chair covers for the reception. The staff at the Gandy Dancer is amazing and pretty soon the room was looking great.

My favorite thing from this wedding was that Ellen and Will have been to so many fabulous places that they decided to name each table as a place they had been and they also gave a brief description about what happened at each place. Some of the places included Prague, New York City, and their home San Francisco. They also included QR codes on each table name card so guests could go to their website and see pictures from each place.

Decadent Delight brought the cupcakes and small cake for the the reception. They looked so good! They even supplied a few cupcakes for Ellen’s father who was allergic to the ingredients in the main cupcakes.

The music for the night came from Platinum Mix by DJ Brian Galvez, and he had the dance floor going all night long. The toasts were personal and full of secret stories that made us all laugh, mainly you could tell that all these people had come together because of how much they loved Ellen and Will. At the end of the night we cleaned up, and took Ellen’s bouquet for Curly Art, and we can’t wait to see how beautiful her painting comes out.

For the short time I knew them and their families they really made you feel welcomed and cared for, we will miss them and wish them the best on the next big adventure in their life!!
