One of the perks of my job is being able to travel the US for various conferences and industry events. This year in September I tested out the Wedding MBA in Las Vegas, and it was a great conference! I will definitely go back in a few years!
The hotels in Vegas are awesome, and the chandelier at the Cosmopolitan might be the most stunning I saw! Our first night in Vegas we attended a welcome party by The Knot – the food was fantastic, it was fun meeting new faces and seeing some familiar ones, and a great excuse to get dressed up and go out!
I’ve seen Sasha Souza speak before, and once again she was a phenomenal speaker! I love getting inside other planners’ heads and seeing what they do, what they value and how they go about getting to know their clients and creating amazing weddings.
Brunch at Wicked (at the Cosmopolitan Hotel) was just so amazing! I cannot describe how awesome it was, and how full I was by the end of it! My dad helped build the restaurant and wanted to show me some of the work they had done, and we stumbled into some outstanding food in the process!
Next year, I will be going a new conference – either the Special Event or Catersource/Event Solutions as well as the Association of Bridal Consultants conference that I always attend in November. Being inspired is crucial!
