As the year comes to an end, I wanted to post the top ten things I am thankful for from 2011. Here goes!
- All of our amazing clients! I am so fortunate to work in a job I love, with couples that value the work that goes into planning a wedding. Congratulations to all our 2011 couples!
- The opportunity to start up the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) group in Ann Arbor with my co-director Julie Hall. It has been a lot of fun and we have great things in store for next year!
- Working closely with the most wonderful wedding professionals in the state, and using those relationships to win Best Team Effort in the 2011 EPIC Awards!
- Attending the ABC annual conference for the fourth year in a row, in Baltimore, MD. It is always such an inspirational trip and I just love meeting planners from across the world!
- Expanding TwoFoot Creative to include a Grand Rapids branch – I am so excited to be planning West Michigan weddings, and Ashley Mason is doing a fantastic job there!
- This year brought some fantastic new and returning assistants to the TwoFoot Creative team – and so many of them are back again for 2012! It was great to fine-tune the internship/assistant process.
- Winning the Editor’s Pick for Best Wedding Planner in Detroit/Ann Arbor for the second year in a row! Not only does this take into account all our client reviews, but the magazine editors as well!
- Ending the year with 30 weddings on the books for 2012 is such a great feeling! We are close to full for the year, which means we can focus on planning!
- The support in this industry is amazing – thank you to all of the friends and colleagues that have been there through the good and bad, you are wonderful!
- My family and friends, for believing in me and for understanding the late hours and weekends!
