November 5th was the perfect day for a beautifully romantic polish wedding. TwoFoot Creative arrived early at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Wyandotte, MI to help set up the church flowers, pin on boutonnieres and help with last minute details. I was in awe of the church from the moment I walked in; it was a work of art and just screamed of old romance.
The ceremony details actually began outside the church when the groom and groomsmen arrived by walking from his parents house, and as is custom a musician playing the accordion led the way. I love that they kept some of these great traditions in their wedding.
The flowers that day were done by New Creations by Kate and they were all so beautiful! The colors were so dramatic; they looked gorgeous on the alter and went perfectly with the bridesmaids’ dresses. At the end of the ceremony, Lindsay & Tom rang the bell in celebration on their new marriage.
We only had two hours to set up a reception for over 300 guest so we rushed to the Dearborn Inn to begin set up. No wedding ever gets done by one team alone, and this wedding was definitely not an exception. New Creations by Kate, Affordable Elegance, and the Dearborn Inn staff all helped to pull this off and once again we managed to all make it happen.
They had their cocktail hour in the hallway in front of the Grand Ballroom, and with that many people it was a tight fit but everyone enjoyed the strolling appetizers, cheese and fruit buffets, and two bars that were there to let the guests enjoy themselves while the bridal party finished up pictures.
Monica and Rachel from Images of Style by Monica were the photographers for the day – we can’t wait to see the pictures! Trifoot Productions shot their video (no relation to our company!).
Since the wedding was so big, and the bride and groom wanted to celebrate their culture, there were two bands for the night. The main band, Persuasion, kept the dance floor more packed than I have ever seen. They also had a wonderful Polish band that brought in all the great Polish dances. It was so much fun!
Congratulations Lindsay & Tom! Stolat!
