Alternative Wedding Bouquets

White bridal bouquet

When a bride walks down the aisle, the wedding gown and bouquet are the first two things that catch the guests’ attention. It used to be a “must” that a wedding should be full of flowers, and the bride’s bouquet was supposed to be big. Today, alternative styles are the trend and more brides are interested in creating non-floral bouquets to “wow” their guests.

Bouquet alternative - carrying a single bloom

Single Bloom: Holding a single bloom will create a modern and minimalist effect. Using a single bloom is beneficial when a bride wants to cut back on the cost of flowers, but does not want to eliminate them entirely.

Jewelry bouquet

Jewelry: For example, Melania Trump walked down the aisle holding a long jeweled rosary instead of a traditional bouquet. Pictured above is another example of how jewelry can be used in place a traditional bouquet.

Parasols instead of wedding bouquets

Decorative Items: Decorated items, like hand fans, parasol, or long feathers, are another option if the bride or groom has an allergy to flowers, or if you just want to do things differently!

Pearls bouquet

Paper, Brooch and Fabric Bouquet: These types of bouquets are very attractive to today’s brides. They are inexpensive, environmentally friendly, and will last forever; besides, they are very easy to make by yourself.

Vegetable bouquet

Theme Bouquet: Recently, a bride in Taiwan walked down the aisle carrying her vegetable bouquet made from broccoli, yellow pepper and tomato. The couple loves eating healthy; therefore, they fed their guests with organic food and fresh juice from a juice bar at the reception. The bride said the bouquet was just another idea to remind people to keep eating healthy!
