A Lakeside BBQ Wedding in Chelsea, MI
Sarah & Brad’s lakeside BBQ wedding took place on a gorgeous June day! TwoFoot Creative planned the wedding from start to finish, and arrived bright and early the day of the wedding to make sure everything was set up perfectly before guests were shuttled in. Because parking was a hot commodity, guests were encouraged to take transportation provided by the couple from hotels.
Sarah & Brad did not want to do a first look, and opted instead for a dramatic entrance. The ladies were brought across Cavenaugh Lake on a boat! They were met by groomsmen and escorted down the aisle, while the bride and her father entered from the house. They exchanged vows right by the lake under a willow tree. The wedding was officiated by long time family friends.
Cocktail hour followed in front of the neighbor’s house, overlooking the lake. Moveable Feast provided the catering and bartending, while the father of the bride’s band performed. Once they moved to the tent, Rock Out Entertainment took over as DJ for the evening. We put out dozens of candles on shepherd’s hook to illuminate the space along with lighting from Quest Productions.

In addition to Moveable Feast, Sarah & Brad hired Stick a Pig in It to provide a pig roast! The tent and rental items came from Colonial Events. TwoFoot Creative brought the tablecloths in from Chair Covers & Linens. The venue is a private residence, as well as the neighbor who let the couple use his property as well. Flowers were assembled by the bride’s mom and her friend, and we placed them, the logs and candles on the tables under the tent.
