Ann Arbor wedding venues are among my very favorite. On the sixteenth of May 2015 Emily and John were married at the beautiful University of Michigan Museum of Art. They performed the ceremony in the Apse of the museum. Guests enjoyed a champagne cocktail reception following the ceremony. Simply Scrumptious did a wonderful job with the appetizers!
Jewish wedding ceremonies in Ann Arbor
Rabbi Adam Rosenwasser performed the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful and went flawlessly. Their photographer, Amanda Williams, captured fabulous pictures that you will see later on this month! The couple’s Ketubah was read during the ceremony and later placed at the Michigan Union for guests to see. I love ketubahs, they are beautiful and the idea of your marriage “contract” being hung at home to remind you of that commitment is beautiful.
Ann Arbor wedding venues
Emily & John held the reception at the Michigan Union, which is a fantastic space. We covered the Rogel ballroom in white and gold linens from Chair covers and Linens. Natural wood chivari chairs completed the look. I had a lot of fun designing Emily & John’s wedding. They were great to work with, knowing what they wanted but flexible with suggestions. I love couples who know what they want, and are able to tell me what that is!
Wedding flowers at the Michigan Union
MADE floral covered the tables with the most beautiful centerpieces. In the middle of the ballroom sat the marvelous three-tier cake provided by Gwen’s Bakery. The flowers serving as the single pop of color in the room really made them a focal point. They were all low, because it was important to Emily & John that guests could see over them to enjoy conversation around the entire table.
The Union is one of my favorite Ann Arbor wedding venues for many reasons. It is a unique space, but includes so much and always delivered on service and price. After the grand feast in the ballroom guests were able to dance the night away to the sounds of Bluewater Kings Band. They are a diverse band with a huge song list to choose from. Congratulation Emily and John, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
