June wedding in Ann Arbor
Lindsay and Matt had an amazing wedding at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor! Following a Catholic ceremony, their reception took place at the Big House and Melissa from A Girl In Love captured the day perfectly.
Michigan Stadium wedding
A wedding at Michigan Stadium is so much fun for guests and a blast to plan as well. They work with a select group of fabulous caterers, so setting up tastings and figuring out which menu to choose is a great experience for couples. All the rental items are brought in, so there are many ways to customize your day! I had a great time with Lindsay piecing together the tablescape design and working with Bill Hamilton to get the flowers just right! Sweet Heather Anne made a cake replica of the Big House, which was a huge hit! In addition, there was a sundae bar and other sweets to top off the night.
The Killer Flamingos – wedding band
Hiring a band is a scary proposition – what if they don’t do their job well? With the Killer Flamingos, I am never worried! They are so entertaining, and so great to work with. Too many bands make it “their show” when it should be the couples’ wedding day. Thankfully, working with a wedding planner allows insider information about the band that will fit your wedding day the best! Some will learn new songs for your first dance and other special events of the evening.
Rain on your Wedding Day
Lindsay & Matt’s wedding day had one major flaw that was out of anyone’s control – rain. It rained HARD, but thankfully we had a backup plan. Giant yellow umbrellas made sure guests were still able to step onto the field when they arrived on the shuttle from the ceremony. Outdoor photos were pretty much a bust, but the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) let us use their galleries for pictures. Rain is never an exciting proposition, but we made the best of it!
