Theresa & Nate were married six years ago today at Rackham Auditorium in Ann Arbor on the campus of the University of Michigan, with a Gandy Dancer wedding reception to follow. Their wonderful photographer, Dionne from The Shooting Gallery, captured some amazing shots of their day! Congratulations on your sixth year of marriage, and good luck in pursuing your Olympic dreams Nate!
Gandy Dancer Wedding Receptions
We love to plan Gandy Dancer wedding receptions! Being at a restaurant with so much Ann Arbor history is a wonderful way to start your lives together. Restaurants have so much infrastructure already in place to help make sure the food is spot on and customized. They also include tables and chairs, flatware and glassware – so you have room to play with upgraded linens and beautiful flowers!
Their courtyard is private, and open for wedding from early spring through late fall. If you are looking for a smaller space, they offer a few of those inside the restaurant. Each room has a very distinct character, so make sure to visit in person! The Gandy Dancer is also a fabulous location for a rehearsal dinner. Larger groups can use the courtyard for a strolling event, or a more intimate dinner can be set up inside the Wolverine Room. Just make sure you clap when the train goes by!
Ceremonies close by
It is not possible to flip the courtyard from a ceremony to a reception. A few options nearby include Island Park, Michigan Theater, St. Thomas, the First Congregational Church and the Bubble Room at Vinology. You will want to check on timing and other events going on that weekend to make sure it’s the right fit for you.
We love planning the entire wedding weekend and flow of events! Make sure to give us a call to plan your Gandy Dancer wedding today!
