Laura & Steve on Style Me Pretty!

JLB Wedding Photography

From their blog: “We always say that it’s the little details that you add into your day that will leave your guests with that warm and fuzzy feeling. So, so true in today’s wedding. Although the beautiful bride admits, her DIY projects took a little bit longer than anticipated, they were a big part of creating her wedding, her way. With Ana Skidmore of TwoFoot Creative and Jeffrey Lewis Bennet Photography by their side, this bride and groom have tons of wonderful memories to cherish forever. Take a look at the gallery for more of this delightful Ann Arbor wedding.”

Press! Ashley Mason in The Knot Michigan

Every issue of The Knot Michigan features the “Wedding Planners Dish”, and in the current issue, Ashley Mason received that honor! Ashley is our Grand Rapids wedding and event planner, and has done a fabulous job of promoting TwoFoot Creative on the West side of the state. Congratulations Ashley!

Note: The photos in this article are misrepresented – the florist that designed the decor is Bill Hamilton Designs.

Press! Holly & Peter in The Knot Michigan

I know this magazine was published a while ago now, but I just realized I never blogged Holly & Peter!

Their feature is beautiful, thanks to the wonderful work of Aruna B. Photography, The Parsonage, the Royal Park Hotel, and Sweet & Savory Bakeshop.

Other wedding professionals the couple used were Epic Motion, CurlyArt, Mary Ann Productions, Rev. Brian Tuttle, and Posh Hair & Makeup Studio.

It was a beautiful wedding, and I was so excited for it to be featured in The Knot!

Harry Potter Style Shoot – Featured!

I am behind on posting this, but back on July 31st our Harry Potter style shoot was featured on the Done Brilliantly blog and I wanted to share! This is what they had to say:

“Today, July 31st, is the birthday of the world’s most famous boy wizard! What better way to celebrate the magical life of Harry Potter than with a styled wedding reception, modeled after the books by J. K. Rowling?

Sarah & Nils are a favorite couple for all of the wedding professionals that had the privilege to share their special day. Their wedding planner, Ana from TwoFoot Creative, decided the perfect idea for this fun couple would be to return to their wedding venue for a styled shoot!

Months earlier they had visited the University of Michigan Union and talked about how lovely it would be for a Harry Potter themed wedding. The ideas kept spinning, and these talented vendors truly brought it all to life! Their photographer, JLB Wedding Photography, came back to capture everything.

From the elegant candlesticks, reminiscent of the Great Hall at Hogwarts, to the red and gold decor for Gryffindor House, this creative team of vendors stylishly put together a magical setting for all of us to enjoy!”

Featured on Style Me Pretty!

Sarah & Nils’ wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty yesterday, and we couldn’t be more excited! TwoFoot Creative recently joined as Little Black Book members as well, so hopefully you’ll be seeing a lot more from us on their blog!

From SMP: This wedding is possibly a little moodier that the weddings we feature regularly on SMP, but it is every bit as fabulous – and even maybe a little extra romantic.

It looks like it was a phenomenal party put on by TwoFoot Creative and thanks to Jeffrey Lewis Bennett and his camera, we definitely feel as though we’ve gotten to know the couple a little bit – and we LOVE them.

As soon as you pop into the gallery, you’ll fall head over heels as well!

Press: Annie & Brian in The Knot!

Annie & Brian were married last September at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor. Their reception followed at Webers Inn in Ann Arbor – and it was spectacular! Abby Rose submitted their wedding photos for publication in The Knot – Michigan, and here they are in the magazine!

TwoFoot Creative in Michigan Meetings & Events!

Over the holidays in December, I was interviewed by Michigan Meetings & Events for the current issue – on what event planners can learn from wedding planners.

We were quoted numerous times throughout the article, so exciting! I think it is great how much the event world tries to learn from one another and walk away with a stronger balance in what you do best.

Unique layouts in a space was a topic that came up, and I love doing this! People get bored of going to the same wedding over and over. You need to throw something exciting and “new” into the mix to engage your guests.

EPIC Award – Best Team Effort!

I just realized that I never blogged this! The EPIC awards were put on this year by the Detroit ISES and NACE chapters. TwoFoot Creative was selected as part of the Best Team Effort award this year – which is such a wonderful honor!

We won the award for a submission of Alice & Mick’s June wedding, which truly was a huge teamwork experience, and it turned out beautifully. The other wedding professionals that won the award with us were Bill Hamilton Designs, Zingermans Bakehouse, and Colonial Events.

Other wonderful wedding professionals that made their wedding amazing were A Girl in Love Photography, Gourmet Invitations, Macpodz, Panache Entertainment, and the Ann Arbor Boychoir. Congratulations!
