Lindsay & David are Married! 08.29.2009

Lindsay’s mom, Rebecca, contacted me not too long ago to help tie up all the loose ends for her daughter’s wedding. Lindsay and Dave live in Minnesota, so it was a while before I actually got to meet them! One major change that was orchestrated two months before the wedding was a venue change - Ken at the Michigan Union was a life-saver!

JLB Wedding Photography (Jeff Bennett) was wonderful to work with, and these sneak peak photos not only came to me incredibly quickly, they are beautiful! The day started with him at 3 o’clock with some last minute getting ready shots of Lindsay before their reveal moment by the Campus Inn where they were staying.

The ceremony itself took place on Ingalls Mall on the University of Michigan campus. Music for the ceremony was provided by Panache Entertainment. Rabbi Tammara Kolton presided over the ceremony.

All the decor was provided by MPE Events; it looked so elegant and clean and hopefully everything Lindsay was looking for! They also custom designed the huppah based on a photo that Lindsay had seen in a magazine. She will be having her bouquet preserved as a painting through CurlyArt. The reception music was provided by Mary Ann Ross, who I worked with for the first time and will absolutely be recommending again!
The reception was set up cafe style, with smaller low tables as well as high tops scattered throughout the room. There were three food stations (pasta, mashed potato, and Asian) that guests could begin eating during cocktail hour along with the wonderful passed appetizers and open bar. Later on at night, the most amazing dessert table opened up as well as a gourmet coffee station.
Lindsay made the card box out of an old leather weekender. Along with it on the gift table we placed various painted couples that she had done herself as well as a University of Michigan photo book for guests to sign.

Congratulations you two, it was wonderful working with you and your families!
