There is nothing quite like an Ann Arbor wedding. Lauren & Hugh were married in September at the First Congregational Church in Ann Arbor. It is one of my favorite churches around due to it being a very inclusive, welcoming place. Both Pastors are absolutely wonderful and try hard to get to know the couples they are marrying which makes for a much more meaningful ceremony.
After the ceremony, the wedding party took pictures around town. Guests walked through campus to the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA). Cocktail hour awaited them in the Forum where the band played a smaller set, and Moveable Feast served appetizers and drinks in abundance. It was a great day for an Ann Arbor wedding!
Ann Arbor wedding at UMMA
One of the most difficult things I find at UMMA is the tight setup time. At 4pm, we have access to the space. Tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, place settings and the band arrive. We are all set up and ready to go by 5:30pm! The end result is a thing of beauty, but boy do we have our work cut out for us until then!
Lauren & Hugh brought in the Winn Brothers band to play at the wedding. They were a huge hit and everyone stayed on the dance floor all night long! I love meeting new bands, and this one did a fabulous job upholding the decibel requirements at UMMA as well.

Parsonage Events created the fabulous florals for this event. Rentals came in from Event Theory, Event Source and Chair Covers & Linens. The desserts were courtesy of Zingerman’s (cake) and Sweet Heather Anne (macarons). Quest Productions did the lighting and created a wonderful ambiance.
