Michelle & Monique’s commitment ceremony took place at Belle Isle Casino on September 18th, with their reception immediately following. They had so many family and friends involved in the ceremony itself – it was beautiful! They also did a great job incorporating aspects of each of their cultures into the wedding.
The main issue during the ceremony was that a race had just finished up on the other side of the park, and we could hear the announcements! I sprinted over as quickly as I could and had them move the speaker to face the other way and turn down the volume a bit. As soon as the ceremony ended, guests moved inside for food, which was served buffet style immediately.
Colonial Events provided all of the chairs, linens, pipe & drape, ottomans and other rental items. Wendy Martin took care of the photography for the day, which I cannot wait to see! It all turned out so beautifully!
Being a day time wedding, there was not much time for dancing. We went from lunch to toasts to the cake cutting, to special dances to saying goodbyes to a group picture – and then home! If I could have given them anything, it would be an extra hour to relax and enjoy!
Congratulations to you both – it was such a pleasure working with you!
